European first for Brink
Dutch rental company Van den Brink Hoogwerker & Kraanverhuur has taken delivery of four Genie Trax boom lifts, including the first two S-40 Trax boom lifts to be delivered in Europe.
Purchased through Genie’s Dutch distributor HWD Nederland, the order comprised two S-40 Traxs and two S-45 Traxs, which join two S-65 Traxs that the company purchased earlier this year.
Weighing 6.2 tonnes the 40ft straight telescopic S-40 offers a working height of 14.2 metres, an outreach of 9.6 metres and 227kg platform capacity. The S-45 is fitted with a 1.52 metre articulating jib and provides a working height of 15.5 metres and an outreach of 11.2 metres. It weighs slightly more at just over seven tonnes.

Company managing director Gert vd Brink, said: “These machines are often used where platforms with tyres fail. The big pluses are that they are able to move more comfortably and faster compared to an Aichi tracked boom lift. Also, in places where a low pressure wheel is required.”
Based in Veluwe in the Netherlands, Van den Brink has a rental fleet consisting of All Terrain and self-erecting tower cranes as well as a range of aerial work platforms, telehandlers and trailers. Prior to the company has previously run a range of tracked Aichi SR123, SR182, SR18A and SR21A boom lifts.
