First Palfinger P480 enters service

The first of the new 48 metre Palfinger P480 truck mounted lifts has arrived with lead customer Collé Sales and Rental, following a summer of testing.

The new lift arrived at the end of last month and went straight out to work on a night time maintenance contract at Amsterdam's Central Station. Launched at Apex in June, the new lift introduces a number of new features including a ‘X-Jib’ which offers up to 240 degrees of articulation, while the platform rotates by up to 200 degrees in either direction.

This first lift is one of several that Collé has on order - all of them on two axle MAN chassis with a Gross Vehicle Weight of less than 18 tonnes.
