Wilson expands

UK truck mounted platform rental company Wilson Access Hire, has opened a second location in Milton Keynes, to serve the south, adding to its northern base in Wakefield.

The move follows the addition of 13 new platforms, almost doubling its fleet.
The new machines have been supplied by Multitel, CTE, GSR and Palfinger with working heights of between 20 and 45 metres. The additions take the fleet to 28 machines. The company is part of the AFI group, so the machines can also be booked from the AFI depot network.

Managing director Richard Saunders said: “Since AFI acquired Wilson Access just over a year ago we have expanded the business substantially. This has been mainly through demand from existing Wilson Access customers and customers of AFI, primarily in the telecoms, signage, window cleaning and pest control sectors.”

“During the next two to three years we are planning to increase the Wilson Access fleet again to ensure that we can provide the right machine, in the right location, and with the level of service our customers have come to expect.”
