Four Hinowas for MBS

UK based rental company MBS Access has taken delivery of four Hinowa spider lifts, including its first battery powered machine, from UK distributor APS.

The order comprises a 17 metre diesel/electric Hinowa Lightlift 17.75, two 20 metre diesel/electric Lightlift 20.10 spider lifts and a 17 metre Hinowa 17.75 Lithium – the first battery powered spider lift in its fleet.

Measuring less than 800mm wide and with a stowed height of under two metres, the 17.75 offers an outreach of 7.5 metres and an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg. The 20.10 is similar but has a maximum outreach of 9.7 metres. Features include one touch outrigger set up, levelling and retraction, auto speed control, track width extension status and wireless remote controls.

MBS Access director Ben Dobson, said: “Lithium Ion batteries, makes the spider lift even more suitable for many of our customers who need to operate in areas where engine noise and emissions are unwanted, such as public buildings and shopping centres. The fact that it doesn’t need plugging into the mains like our other electric spider lifts means that the Hinowa is much more productive - and there are no potential trip hazards from trailing power cables.”
