Manitowoc has opened a new Grove/Potain service facility in Méru - halfway between Paris and Beauvais - close to the A16 autoroute.
The 13,700 square metre facility is intended to provide improved coverage for Grove and Potain cranes across Paris and northern France. It includes fully equipped workshops, offices, and training rooms, as well as a yard equipped with a Potain MD 365 tower crane.

The outdoor training area will include new Potain MDT 159 and Igo 22 cranes for in the iron/hands on training. Courses available include CACES -certified programmes (R487 and R483) for operators, electrical safety, working at height, and technical sessions on assembly and fault diagnostics.

The new location is Manitowoc’s ninth service centre in France, joining existing locations in Bordeaux, Toulouse, Nantes, Orléans, Dole, Lyon, Marseille, and Nice. The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to increase the percentage of services related revenues balancing out a reliance on new machine sales.
Customer service director Aurelien Raho said:” With our new facility in Méru we are striving to deliver the most comprehensive array of support services in the industry and investing in substantial new spaces such as this one to reflect our commitment to that goal.”
Technical training manager Cédric Fourier added: “This new facility provides stronger support and more effective training for operators and technicians servicing our cranes across the Paris region and northern France.”
