Ramirent acquires Finnish rental company

Ramirent Finland has acquired Savonlinnan Rakennuskonevuokraamo, a leading rental company in the Savonlinna and Joensuu areas of Finland. The company has revenues of around €2 million and employs 10, all of whom will transfer to Ramirent.

The deal includes the goodwill and all operating assets of the business, apart from the properties. No details of the transaction have been disclosed. The company's product range includes boom and scissor lifts, telehandlers and mobile cranes.

Anna Hyvönen executive vice president of Ramirent Finland and the Baltics said: “In line with our Customer Fist objective, this acquisition enables us to serve our current customers better and bring our entire fleet and service offering to the customers of Savonlinnan Rakennuskonevuokraamo.”

Jarkko Miinin a member of the executive group of Savonlinnan Rakennuskonevuokraamo added: “It was important for us to find a buyer who will provide a good workplace also in the future for our long-term employees. Ramirent will continue to operate in the area of Savonlinna and Joensuu by offering the best service for our customers. With the acquisition, our chief executive Jorma Kupiainen will transfer to Ramirent to lead the sales in the Savonlinna and Joensuu areas.”
