New products at Bauma China

While this year’s Bauma China is more subdued than the extravaganza of new and exotic product launches seen at the last event in 2012, there are still plenty of new products on show, some of which are highly unusual.

On day one the rain was constant and the place saturated making it a challenging day, but it certainly did not deter the crowds.

We will cover the event in more detail later in the week, as internet connections at the show are exceptionally variable and unpredictable. But in the meantime here are a few images of the events and new product launches on day one.

Of note were the fact that both the Genie SX180 and JLG 1850SJ were on display, both of which were purchased by local company Horizon Equipment & Engineering.

Last word - the Skyjack stand at closing time - still selling

Crane maker XCMG showed off a semi self-propelled boom lift and a large scissor lift as it dips its toes in the market.

Zoomlion had a new 60 tonne four axle truck crane and a 800 tonne All Terrain with unusual chassis configuration and 91.3 metre main boom.

XCMG was most extravagant crane company with a 300 tonne trailer crane with 71 metre boom, several new crawlers and tower cranes and a very odd tracked truck crane/AT.

Palfinger Sany alsp showed of a mid-sized truck mounted lift.
