First Maeda articulated crane

Kranlyft, the European master distributor for Maeda cranes, has received the first production version of the new articulated boom MK1033CW-1 spider crane at its UK Avonmouth facility and will have it on show next week.

The concept was first shown at Bauma last year and now the finished article with safe load indicator and radio remote control is available. The company will have it on display next Tuesday the 16th and Wednesday the 17th before it is shipped to its new owner, Belgium-based distributor and rental company Heli. The next time the machine will be shown in the UK will be at Vertikal Days next May.

At 750mm wide and 1,955mm high the MK1033CW-1 can fit through a standard doorway.


The articulated MK1033CW-1 features a three section pentagonal main boom and three section telescopic jib giving an up and over height of about 7.5 metres. It has a 995kg maximum capacity at 1.3 metres radius and a maximum working radius of 9.9 metres with 180kg on the hook. Maximum lift height is 11.3 metres.

At 750mm wide and 1,955mm high the MK1033CW-1 can fit through a standard doorway. Overall length is 2,730mm and weight is 2,090kg. The optional hydraulic winch has a capacity of 850kg and the crane has multi-outrigger positions. The basic model has a diesel engine and comes with a fixed crane hook on the end of the boom and there is the option of a 380V electric motor.

Just to add that there will also be on display the full Maeda range of spider cranes and level crawlers.
The MK1033 is now in full production with 20 units on the water from Japan.
There are units available for sale in the UK.
