California consolidation

Southern California based Heavy Equipment Rentals, an earthmoving sales and rental business headquartered in Corona, California, has acquired Bay area based All American Rental which runs a general fleet that includes a full range of aerial lifts and telehandlers, the company is also a JCB dealer.

All American operates from four locations, but the branch in San Francisco, which specialises in rentals to electrical contractors, is not included in the deal. The other branches are in Newark, Sacramento and San Jose.

Heavy Equipment Rentals is owned by Zealand’s family owned Porter Hire group, and was established in Corona in 1999. It currently operates in the Los Angeles and San Diego regions. All American was established in 2000 and is owned by Mike Carter who will stay with the business as Northern California region manager.
