A Grove AT made in Italy.

Grove will show its new “No-frills” two axle replacement for the GMK2035, the GMK2035E, at Intermat in April. This new 35 tonner features the same 29 metre main boom as the older unit but sheds its Megatrack suspension in favour of rigid axles with hydrogas suspension.

The hydraulic luffing swingaway also goes in favour of a manually offset version. This new model will be built at the new Grove plant in Niella Italy.

While it might seem that Grove is abandoning its much hyped Megatrack system on this unit, for the sake of simplicity and reducing costs. It has been said that benefits of the independent Megatrack system are in fact limited on a two axle chassis.

The new crane will be on display at Intermat in April.
