Two new Groves for Nostokonepalvelu

Finnish crane rental company Nostokonepalvelu is taking delivery of two new Grove All Terrain cranes from the manufacturer’s new distributor in Finland – Machinery.

The new cranes are a 60 tonne three axle GMK3060 All Terrain which has already been delivered to the Turku based rental company, in time to appear on the Machinery Stand at the Maxpo fair in Hyvinkää last week, and a 100 tonne, four axle GMK4100L which is due to arrive shortly.

The GMK3060 is the first Grove to feature the company’s new Crane Control System (CCS) which ties in the hardware such as joysticks, control units and a jog dial to the software and operating system to enable highly intuitive crane control. The crane also features boom optimisation, which allows the operator to input basic lift parameters, such as load, radius and load height, so that the system can automatically select the optimal boom configurations for the lift saving time on site.

Vesa Hakkarainen crane director at Machinery said: “The GMK3060 crane is easy to transport by road for use in remote locations, which is very helpful in a predominantly rural country such as Finland. As our first customer to buy the model, we will keep in close contact with Nostokonepalvelu to ensure that the crane not only meets – but surpasses their expectations. The GMK4100L is also an ideal product for a rental company thanks to its 60 metre main boom and compact dimensions, allowing it to be used in multiple applications”.
