Burnt out Brontos

On the night of the 28th of February/March first, a major fire broke out at the Headquarters of Storm Hoogwerkers in Hoboken, Antwerp. Storm operates a fleet of truck mounted work platforms, largely GSR and Bronto along with a fleet of scissor lifts.

A tragic scene on March 1, after the firemen had done their work

The Fire destroyed among other things three new Bronto Skylift machines. An S50 MDT, a brand new S 46 XDT and an S 35 MDT. The fire was so intense that the machines were completely destroyed including structural damage.

The Storage shed was completely destroyed

Frank Hechtermans, managing director and owner of Storm Hoogwerkers immediately got stuck into negotiations for the purchase of replacement lifts, including four new Bronto’s, the problem of course is likely to be delivery times. A thought to consider when buying insurance cover.
