Al Jaber takes 40 Hitachi

Al Jaber Heavy Lift & Transport LLC, the Abu Dhabi based lifting and transport company, has purchased 40 Hitachi Sumitomo cranes from Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV.

The order consists of the following cranes:
• 10 of the 70 tonne SCX700
• 3 of the 90 tonne SCX900-2
• 14 of the SCX1200-2
• 13 of the SCX2500-2

The Hitachi Sumitomo SCX2500

The delivery of the cranes is scheduled throughout the year, with the first units having already been delivered. All cranes will be used in the gas and oil fields in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Al Jaber has a sizeable fleet of crawler cranes topped out by the 1,250 tonne Terex Demag CCC8800.
