Pallets by the dozen

A reader in Ireland has sent us a photo of a man working on a lighting pole, with very dodgy access equipment

We have no details of where and when it was taken, but it does not look like Ireland, too sunny to start with – some might say. The man has used a loading shovel, with a dozen ropy looking pallets on the loader’s fork attachment. As a safety precaution he has strapped them all together.

Not the best form of powered access!

There is no driver in the machine cab – which might be a blessing given that the loader is standing on a newly cast raised drive. The man working at around five to six metres is clearly nervous – which is probably just as well.

A slightly closer look

A definite one for our Death Wish series
