Cumberland Hilux first

Kettering, UK-based Cumberland Platforms (CPL) has achieved National Small Series Type approval on its 4x4 Toyota Hilux A314 platform. The type approval covers both the access platform conversion and the vehicle being uprated to 3500kg with off road tyres.

The company claims that it is the only UK manufacturer with full National Small Series Type approval on the Isuzu or the Hilux 4x4s for both the suspension upgrade and the platform conversion. This means the vehicle not only meets with UK road regulations but has been fully tested and passed by the VCA for road stability and safety.
