Big cranes and access auction
Thimleby&Shoreland the auctioneers is holding one of the largest crane, access and telehandler auctions to be held in the UK for some time. The sale is next Saturday July 15th at the Herts County Showgrounds in Redbourn, near Junction nine of the M1 motorway.
The sale will consist of a wide range of equipment from the Hewden hire fleet, but unusually in this day and age includes a good number of large Liebherr and Kato mobile cranes.
The sales includes two 120 tonne and seven 50 tonne Liebherr LTM All-Terrain cranes, along with Kato 250E/220E and 160E truck cranes and an IF15 Iron Fairy.
Over 60 self propelled booms and scissors, including Genie, JLG and Skyjack models, and over 60 telescopic handlers will be put on the block. For details see the Event guide in the right hand column of this web site.
Vertikal Comment
With a worldwide shortage of used cranes and access platforms, this sale should attract a good deal of attention. The cranes in particular are rare sights these days at auctions as demand is so high. Whether Hewden will benefit from putting them up for public auction rather than selling them privately remains to be seen.
