More Genies for Stavdal

Swedish rental company Stavdal has placed an order for 67 new Genie booms, scissor lifts and telehandlers.

The new order includes more 30ft Z-30/20N with rotating jib option, along with 34ft Z-34/22DC articulated booms, 85ft S-85 telescopic booms, GS-1932 and GS-2646 scissor lifts and GTH-2506 compact telehandlers. The order comes just as the final units in last year’s for 71 Genie booms and scissor lifts are being delivered. The order, once again includes Genie Service Solutions ’Planned Maintenance‘ package that it first took almost two years ago.

Stavdal chief executive Mikael Olsson said: “With downtime at average just 0.03 percent, has resulted in 18 extra rental days a year for each machine, the advantages of our GSS Planned Maintenance contract speaks for itself. In addition to reaping the benefits of a 25 percent reduction in maintenance costs, the advantages of this GSS Planned contract have allowed us to do more than simply invest to grow and renew our fleet. It has also meant that we have the peace of mind of knowing that our machines are all well-maintained and serviced at the recommended intervals to keep them safe and productive.”

This adds up to being extremely positive for our activity as a whole. Our own technicians now benefit from the time to focus on major repairs, as well as ordering the parts they need. As a result, machines that used to be immobilised in our workshop for weeks on end are now back into the field sooner, which needless to say is much more profitable for our business!”

Matt Skipworth of Genie added: “Our Planned Maintenance contract includes other hidden benefits, such as performing regular lubricant and fluid sampling and if necessary changing, supporting predictive maintenance — which if overlooked or delayed lead to the degradation of machine components in the long-term.”
