First Liebherr reachstacker in India

Indian shipping logistics company Bothra Shipping Services has taken delivery of a Liebherr LRS 545 reachstacker, the first to arrive in India.

The LRS545 can stack five containers high, and will be used for the company's Kakinada Port container operation in the east of India. The LRS 545 is fitted with a Tier 4F engine, with fuel consumption as low as 12 to 14 litres an hour.

Bothra is also awaiting delivery of a new Liebherr training simulator. The company operates eleven Liebherr mobile harbour cranes in total, and in order to further increase the skills of its crane operators, the company is installing a new training room equipped with the LiSIM simulator. The simulator incorporates original Liebherr crane controls and is equipped with simulation software for both mobile harbour and ship cranes.
