Tree surgeon falls to his death
A tree surgeon from Halewood fell to his death earlier this month, while his son looked on.
Ian Shacklady, 59, fell from the platform of his truck mounted lift while pruning trees in the grounds of Saint Agnes' church in Huyton.
It is believed that he died instantly, from head injuries, we have no details of what caused him to fall, but it seems that he might have been leaning out of the basket and lost his balance. He was clearly not wearing a harness.
Shacklady is believed to be self employed trading as Tree Services.
Merseyside police said there were no suspicious circumstances but an inquest would be held.
