Oman petrochem contract for Mammoet
Dutch heavy lift and transport company Mammoet has won the contract to provide heavy lift and transportation for the upgrade to Oman’s largest petrochemical plant in Sohar, Oman.
The company will transport and erect 75 large vessels, including a 100 metre long fractionator and four bullet tanks weighing over 1,000 tonnes. The units will be transported using self-propelled platform trailers, with the larger ones requiring street lights and road signs to be removed and replaced. The contract is expected to last around 10 months.
