First Skyjack SJ63 in Hong Kong

Hong Kong based sales and rental company Honor Us Equipment (HK) has taken delivery of the first 63ft Skyjack SJ63 AJ articulated boom liftsin in the city.

The first unit has been out on six month rental contract at the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital where it is working on the installation of curtain walling, air conditioning, electrical wiring and water fittings along with a number of Skyjack slab electric scissor lifts.

The SJ63AJ offers up to 12.19 metres of outreach at an up and over clearance of 8.38 metres it was unveiled in 2012, with production beginning in 2013. Honor was established in 2011 and runs a fleet of Genie and Skyjack booms and scissor lifts. Managing director Rain Ku said:“since the Hong Kong government tightened the safety regulations on construction sites, aerial work platforms have become a popular alternative to traditional solutions.

The first Skyjack SJ63AJ to go to work in Hong Kong

The regulations clearly state: “The contractor responsible for any construction site shall take adequate steps to prevent any person on the site from falling from a height of two metres or more.”
