GGR’s largest glazing robot
UK mini crane and glass handling specialist GGR has unveiled the Oscar 1400, its largest glazing robot to date, for lifting a range of heavy glass, ceramic plates, plastic boards and any other non-porous materials.
The dual circuit Oscar 1400 has a maximum capacity of 1,400kg and an overall width of 1.3 metres, allowing it to be operated in confined spaces via the radio remote controls.The boom extends up to 2.3 metres has the ability to slew 90 degrees left and right, with 360 degrees of rotation and is able to tilt 90 degrees up and down.

The robot also features stabilisers for added safety when moving over uneven ground and a powered side shift function for moving the device exactly into position when assisting with glass installation.
Chief executive Graeme Riley said: “We are delighted to introduce yet another groundbreaking product to the market. As with our other large capacity equipment, the launch of the Oscar 1400 shows we are staying ahead of the game and can offer customers more lifting capacity than any other glazing robots currently available in the UK.”
