60 big lifts for Special Equipment

Dutch re-rent company Special Equipment, part of the TVH group, has added 30 large Genie boom lifts along with 30 heavy duty big scissor lifts on order, in an investment worth £9.6 million.

The Genie boom lifts include 135ft SX135XC, 150ft SX150 and 180ft SX180 models, which have been supplied by sister company and local Genie distributor HDW. Out of the 30 electric and diesel scissor lifts, the majority will be supplied by PB Lifttechnik, whilst others will come from Holland Lift, with platform heights ranging from 65 to 111ft.

30 Genie booms have been delivered

Special Equipment was formed from the top end of the Gunco fleet over a year ago and now operates a fleet of 150 large and specialist machines including boom lifts, spider lifts, spider cranes and telehandlers, which it offers to rental companies worldwide.
