Mammoet expands in Australia
Netherlands based heavy lift group Mammoet has opened two new locations in Australia.
On the west coast the company has opened a new yard at Perth Naval Base adding to its existing office at the base. As part of the move 12 new cranes are being added to the local fleet, ranging from a 25 tonne Terex Franna, to a new 250 tonne Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 All Terrain.

The company has also opened a new office in Brisbane’s Central Business District, to serve the east coast and taking the number of locations in the country to four, the others being Perth, plus full depots in Darwin and Port Hedland. The new locations are part of a move by the company to get closer to its customers. It has been working in Australia since 2002, mainly working on civil contract, petrochemical and the mining industry.
Mammoet Australia managing director Wouter Mink said: ”These new locations enable us to have our equipment and professionals locally available. This ensures timely mobilisation to site, and a quick upscale if required.”
