Marsden's first new crane
UK rental company Marsden Crane Services has taken delivery of a 60 tonne Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 All Terrain crane. It is also the first time that the Wigan based company has purchased a brand new crane.
The three axle crane features a five section 48 metre main boom and a 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, providing a maximum tip height of 67 metres and a maximum radius of 48 metres.

Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1
Manager Brendan Marsden said: "Having reviewed the range of smaller All Terrain cranes available to the UK market, we decided that the Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 was the best crane of its size to fulfil our requirements. We believe that the combination of its long boom, VarioBase technology, compact carrier and excellent build quality will prove to be very popular with our customers."

It is Marsden's first brand new crane in its fleet
The Marsdens can trace their crane hire roots to the original Marsden Crane hire formed by Keith Marsden registering it as a limited company in 1997. The company was taken over by the Specialist Hire Group in 2003 and Marsden remained on board as a director while his sons worked within the business. Ainscough acquired Specialist in 2015 which is when Brendan, Lee and Dale Marsden formed the new Marsden company. Initially running used cranes in the same manner as the original business.
