KFR's new P 160 A
Established in the mid 1980s, Münster based KFR was started by locksmith Hans Joachim Kramer and Andreas Reinkenhoff to design and erect specialist steel buildings. They were then joined by Holger Frenking – thus the name KFR – who ran a car repair and service business. The first platforms arrived as the company needed them in their work, but found few units available to rent locally. After having purchased its first 10 units, it realised that renting the machines out to others was a lucrative business, for which there was strong demand. After getting started in 1987, it formed a separate company access rental company called KFR-Mietlife, which now offers a wide range of access equipment, including truck and trailer mounted lifts, plus booms and scissor lifts and a wide range of scaffold towers and material lifts.
