Liebherr flagship for Ley-Krane
German rental company Ley-Krane has taken delivery of a 450 tonne Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1 All Terrain crane.
The eight axle LTM 1450-8.1 features an 85 metre main boom and can travel complete with full boom, outriggers and winch within 12 tonne axle loads. The crane features the VarioBallast adjustable counterweight, and Variobase outrigger set up systems. It was also purchased with the 'removable telescopic boom' option, reducing the gross vehicle weight from 96 to under 60 tonnes.
Ley is planning to use its new crane to repair wind turbines, and as an auxiliary crane for erecting the latest generation of wind turbines, along with other applications.
