Clarks back in cranes

Paul and Steve Clark the former owners of Scotland’s Port Services Group have moved back into the heavy crane business with their new company PSG.

The two were obliged to wait until their non-compete clause with the old company - now Global Port Services - expired this year, and have just taken delivery of a new 220 tonne Liebherr LTM 1220-5.2. All Terrain crane, with plans to add a larger – probably 500 tonne - telescopic and a 750 tonne lattice boom crane. In the near future.

The new LTM1220 has a 60 metre main boom, plus a 12.2 to 22 metre hydraulic luffing swingaway extension and 74 tonnes of counterweight, The company plans to offer the unit on regular crane hire or fully packaged contract lifting service terms throughout Scotland .

PSG's new Liebherr LTM1220-5.2 arrives

The company has also invested in a number of larger Volvo trucks, and was notified this week that its audit to the new ISO 9001: 2015 certification for its Quality Management System was successful.
