Rusch wins Abu Dhabi contract

The Middle Eastern division of Dutch company Rusch Crane Services has won a contract for the replacement and refurbishment of 23 overhead cranes at Das Island, Abu Dhabi.

As a hub for exporting oil and gas all the cranes are ATEX Zone One certified. The overall contract was awarded by Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company to Abu Dhabi-based Gulf Oil Gas and Advanced Consulting and Marine Technology, which has subcontracted all crane related work to Rusch Middle East. The signing of the contract took place at the Rusch stand at ADIPEC Exhibition.

The contract will start this month, with the first site visit for the engineering and work preparation. Rusch expects to start the refurbishment work in January, and complete it by mid 2019. Rusch ME was set up last year with the help of a local sponsor and the Dutch Embassy.
