Italian Groves

Italian crane rental company Baldini has taken delivery of a 100 tonne Grove GMK4100L-1 All Terrain crane, with a 150 tonne GMK5150L and a 300 tonne GMK6300L also on order.

The four axle GMK4100L-1 features a 60 metre main boom with Twin-Lock pinning and an 11.1 to 17.6 metre telescopic swingaway extension. The five axle GMK5150L features a 60 metre main boom plus 11.2 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which can be extended to 17.8 metres, while the six axle GMK6300L features an 80 metre, seven section main boom, topped by a 12 to 21 metre hydraulically luffing bi-fold swingaway extension, and two eight metre inserts are also available to take the maximum tip height to 120 metres.

Manitowoc/Grove area sales manager Davide Camperi said: "These innovative All Terrain cranes will strengthen the group's competitiveness in the region, and the operation will see the latest GMK generation increase versatility and a higher return."

Baldini is based in north east Italy with five locations in Faenza, Forlì, Ravenna, Bologna and Fano, all located between Bologna and Ancona, not far from the Adriatic coast.
