First 150t Grove for South Germany
German rental company Hermann Kranverleih has taken delivery of a 150 tonne Grove GMK5150L All Terrain crane.
The five axle crane features a 60 metre main boom plus 11.2 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which can be extended to 17.8 metres. It is the first GMK5150L in the southern German region, Upper Palatinate (Oberpfalz), and has already helped dismantle a tower crane used for the construction of new residential and commercial units in Regensburg, Bavaria.

Managing director Manfred Hermann said: “The GMK5150L is the strongest taxi crane in its class. With a partial ballast of 10.2 tonnes, it fulfils all of our requirements for a high capacity, compact crane that remains within German weight specifications and does not need any additional accessory cranes.”
Established in 1972, Hermann Kranverleih is based in Wackersdorf and has been managed by Manfred Hermann since 1990. The fleet now comprises of 15 cranes, as well as eight heavy duty trucks.
