27m Platform Basket for Gruppo Festa

Italian sales and rental company Gruppo Festa has taken delivery of a new Platform Basket Spider 27.14.

The unit, the first 27.14 to be sold to a company in Southern Italy, was delivered to Gruppo Festa’s headquarters in Matera to the south west of Bari. The city will be the European Capital of Culture for 2019, so it is expected to be kept busy throughout the year and went straight to work.

The 27.14 has a dual over centre riser, three section telescopic boom and articulated jib. It offers 15 metres of outreach at an up & over height of 10 metres with perfectly parallel lift to this height, maximum platform capacity is 230kg – available for up to 13 metres.

The unit weighs 5,000kg and has an overall stowed width of 890mm but the tracks extend hydraulically to 1.29 metres once on site for additional stability. Overall stowed height is just under two metres. Standard features include automatic levelling, automatic working envelope selection and monitoring, 172 degrees of platform rotation and radio remote controls.
