Fire service Liebherr for Taiwan
Taiwanese crane rental and heavy haulage contractor Lian Zheng has taken delivery of a 70 tonne Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 All Terrain fire service crane, the first of its kind in Taiwan.
The four axle crane has a 50 metre main boom topped by a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. It has been ordered with additional equipment for fire service and rescue operations. The additional equipment includes blue flashing lights, siren, a fire fighting monitor, a short lattice jib on the boom head to which the remote controlled water monitor can be fitted, to spray up to 4,000 litres of water a minute from a nozzle height of up to 53 metres. The main work for the crane, however, will be standard lifting duties.
