GGR launches new counterweight beam
UK mini crane and glass handling specialist GGR has unveiled a new high capacity counterweighted lifting beam, the eight tonne Libro 8000.
The Libro 8000 is designed for use with all types of crane, and to help with the installation of glass, cladding, curtain walling and balconies below overhangs of up to three metres deep. It is also equipped with a rechargeable battery pack, to power the rack and pinion counterweight saddle. Controlled by cable remote, the counterweight saddle can be moved along the beam to balance the load being lifted on the other end.
An automatic cut out prevents the main beam tilting more than 10 degrees above or below the horizontal. The Libro 8000 also features an integrated hook and can be used with a below the hook vacuum lifter.
