A-Plant head recognised
Sat Dhaiwal, chief executive of A-Plant, the UK division of the Ashtead group, has been named as the Cheshire young director of the year in the Institute of Directors - Director of the Year Awards 2006.
Dhaiwal, 37, was appointed to the position of A-Plant CEO in March 2002 and has been instrumental in the major restructuring of the business that has occurred over the past three years.

He was presented with his award by Fiona Bruce, presenter of the BBC Ten O’clock News and Co-Presenter of BBC1’s Crimewatch, and Alistair Mackintosh, chief executive of the City of Manchester Stadium.
