First Russian Hups
Russian rental company Topkran has taken delivery of four Potain Hup 40-30 self-erecting tower cranes, the first to be sold in Russia.
The Hup 40-30 has a maximum capacity of four tonnes and features a three section telescopic mast, giving a range of hook heights from 25.6 to 30 metres, with a 40 metres jib and a 1,000kg jib tip capacity. All four cranes will be go to work on a four month project in Moscow.

General director Vitaly Laptev said: “We chose the Hup cranes because of their high capacity from a relatively small package, and for their height under hook and versatility.”
Established in 2005 and based in Moscow, Topkran was initially involved in the rental of earthmoving equipment. It purchased its first cranes in 2008 and now runs a fleet of 60 All Terrain and crawler cranes, and 60 tower cranes, with 300 employees.
