FLG Services adds new equipment

UK lifting gear and safety equipment provider FLG Services has spent over £400,000 on new equipment.

Elevating its existing heavy lift offering, the investment includes Modulift spreader beams up to 1,000 tonnes, large wide body shackles up to 500 tonnes, wire ropes and grommets up to 600 tonnes, Dyneema ropes and round slings, Active Link drop links - with data logging available, CMOD lifting frame up to 250 tonnes, and crane mats and accessories.

Regional sales manager Shaun Sullivan said: “Demand for heavy lift equipment has increased in recent years and we are delighted to be able to offer one of the largest ranges of heavy lift accessories in the UK. We continuously invest in our hire fleet and are always looking to develop and adopt new lifting equipment to assist our customers. Bringing innovation into the sector ensures we stay ahead of the game and our latest investment means we are now able to provide a greater range of heavy lift accessories and services - some of which are not available to hire from any other suppliers in the UK.”

Headquartered in Rainham, Essex, FLG Services is a specialist division of A-Plant. The company operates 21 service centres across the country and offers a full range of lifting and safety equipment for rental or purchase alongside specialist testing, service, inspection, repair, overhead crane and design capabilities.
