NMT initially instigated the fund raising after one of its drivers, Mick Wheeley, who died of cancer in 2005 was looked after at The Willen Hospice during his illness.
Mark Ambridge, the managing director of NMT said ‘ All the staff who took part in the event volunteered and their help and assistance throughout the weekend and the set up was greatly appreciated by all concerned. Due to the size of the stands we set up and the type of event we took part in none, of this would have been possible without them.’
