220t Demag for Ireland

Irish concrete specialist Concast Precast has taken delivery of a 220 tonne Demag AC 220-5 All Terrain crane.

The five axle AC 220-5 features an eight section 78 metre main boom, plus an 11.4 to 21 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a 99 metre maximum tip height.

Chief financial officer Bernard Quinn said: “The main reason we decided on the AC 220-5 was the high quality and associated reliability of Demag cranes. In addition, its powerful performance characteristics made quite an impression on us, as both large lifting capacities and utmost precision are required when building structures with heavy precast concrete units – and the Demag AC 220-5 definitely delivers on both counts.”
