Tadano Faun expands production

Tadano Faun is busy restructuring its All Terrain crane plant in Lauf Germany, as well as extending the covered area from 43,000 to 49,000 sq metres, a 14 percent increase.

An extended finishing hall is now in full use after being completed in August.

Outside of the new extension

The 158,000 sq metre yard is also being reorganised to improve the efficiency of the space. This includes an expansion to the test pad and new testing equipment to accommodate the
increase in production and allow more cranes to be calibrated and put through final inspections at the same time.

Tadano says that the expansion has been dictated by the
success of its new G series all terrains, particularly the larger models.

The long lead time for new cranes isn't doing any harm either.
