250t Liebherr for Walsh

Irish rental company Walsh Crane Hire has taken delivery a 250 tonne Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 All Terrain crane.

The five axle crane features a 60 metre main boom plus a 36 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which can be extended to 50 metres with inserts, and offset hydraulically by up to 45 degrees.

Walsh Crane Hire's new Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 lifting a local passenger ferry in Galway City

Managing director Sean Walsh said: "We have had an excellent customer relationship with Liebherr for a long number of years and we are very happy with the quality of their cranes and efficiency of their service. We are delighted to bring the first 250 tonne Liebherr crane to Ireland and we are very happy with its lifting ability and compact design. This crane was a direct replacement on our LTM 1220-5.1 so we can now offer our customers a crane with a larger lift capacity and the latest Vario technology."

Established in 1969, Walsh Crane Hire is headquartered in Galway on the west coast of Ireland. Its new crane joins a fleet of seven including a 55 tonne LTM 1055 All Terrain crane and a 45 tonne LTF 1045-4.1 truck-mounted telescopic crane.
