51m Ruthmann for Smart

UK rental company Smart Platform Rental has taken delivery of a 51 metre Ruthmann T 510HF truck mounted platform.

The two axle platform is the company’s largest model to date – the fleet was previously topped by a 46 metre unit - provides an outreach of 33 metres, a 600kg maximum platform capacity and around 10 metres of below ground reach. It also includes Ruthmann’s ‘Lift-Up’ material handling system which allows lifting of items up to 400kg, plus a lift bar and electric winch attachment.

Managing director Andy Burt said: “With the best in class performance specification of 51 metre working height and 33 metre outreach on a two axle chassis, the T510HF from Ruthmann was a very simple and natural progression for us as demand rises for our operated hires.”

Established in 2002, Smart Platforms runs a fleet of mostly 3.5 tonne self-drive truck mounted platforms from locations in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Sheffield.
