Speedy relaunches Lloyds British

UK rental company Speedy Hire is relaunching the ‘Lloyds British’ brand and adding installation & maintenance, crane services, fall protection systems, lifting & safety equipment sales, refurbishment and training to its core services of inspection, testing and certification.

The move follows Speedy’s purchase of the Lloyds British business from the administrator in December 2016 - see Speedy acquires Lloyds British and subsequent absorption into the Speedy group.

Established in 1812, Lloyds British was renowned for testing and inspections as well as offering lifting and handling solutions across a wide range of business sectors. As part of the relaunch, the company is currently recruiting additional engineers and investing in over 100 new vehicles.

Lloyds British business unit director Ryan White said: “Speedy is investing in Lloyds British to reinforce our position as a leader in the market. We have recently launched our new website, improved our inspection and planning systems and implemented online reporting for customers to manage assets, certificates and their compliance requirements. Lloyds British has already won a number of contracts from existing Speedy customers.”
