IPAF Elevation
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) will hold its inaugural Elevation conference and dinner on 25th September at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Coventry, UK.
Before the main afternoon event, there will be a series of meetings that IPAF members can attend, beginning at 09:30 with a UK country council meeting and a UK Open Meeting at 13:00 with the conference, hosted by IPAF chief executive Tim Whiteman, beginning at 14:00.
Speakers include CITB’s Mark Noonan, Build UK’s Jo Fautley, Lifterz’s Malcolm Bowers, Serious Lab’s Nigel Taylor, IPAF’s Angel Ibañez, Network Rail’s Paul Lindup, JLG’s Jan-Willem van Weir and Ray Cooke of the Health & Safety Executive.
There will also be a competition with a specific platform challenge on an aerial work platform simulator with the person closest to the target time with the fewest faults wining IPAF’s ‘Smooth Operator 2018’ award. The association will also be looking for the best marketing video for IPAF training, with attendees at the event able to vote for their favourite from a showreel of shortlisted finalists.
