Versalift platforms for Chinese utility
The State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has taken delivery of 23 Versalift VST6000-MHI 21 metre insulated platforms for live line work. The state owned utility last purchased Versalift platforms more than 10 years ago, and has 38 further insulated platforms on order in a deal worth $2 million. The order is part of Versalift's 'strategic partnership' with the Qingte Group.
Mounted on a 16 tonne Chinese Howo T5G 210 chassis, the VST6000-MHI provides an outreach of 12.5 metres and unrestricted platform capacity of 340kg between the two fibreglass bucket type baskets. The units are also equipped with a material handling capacity of 454 kg. and a 600mm hydraulic bucket elevator making it easy to reach adjacent power lines without repositioning the entire unit. The first 23 units will go to the Beijing Hotline Working Centre, a branch of SGCC.

Versalift VST-6000-MHI
State owned SGCC provides power to over 1.1 billion people throughout China, and the company is investing in major infrastructure development projects on the to improve the power grid. The facility already operates a fleet of more than 100 insulated aerial work platforms.
