Alimak rebrands

Alimak Hek has announced that going forward its construction, industrial and oil and gas products will all be branded Alimak.

All construction and industrial related products will be simply branded as Alimak

The change principally affects the company’s mastclimbers which were previously Alimak Hek, and the Heis-Tek products, including traction elevators for offshore operations. Alimak began merging with HEK in 2002, See Hek and Alimak join forces with the Alimak brand used for hoists and Hek for mastclimbers. Then in 2003 it all became Intervect, switching back in 2005 when the corporate name was changed to Alimak Hek. See Intervect to change its name.

The Alimak Hek name is to be dropped

The acquisitions of CoxGomyl, Manntech and Avanti at the end of 2016 also mean that all of the sales offices of these subsidiaries will be rebranded as Alimak Group, while factories will retain the name of the brands that they produce.

Each of the Alimak group brands will also join in the launch of a new global organisation under the name Alimak Service to provide product and customer support services to the owners and users of all Alimak group products.

Alimak's new brand structure

Chief executive Tormod Gunleiksrud said: “Through Alimak Service, our customers will continue to receive the high quality spare parts and services of the brands that they have come to expect, but with the added benefits of an increased geographical footprint, added capabilities and even more timely support.”
