Another Liebherr for Crowland

UK rental company Crowland Cranes has taken delivery of a 40 tonne Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1 All Terrain crane, with another on order.

The two axle LTM 1040-2.1 features a 35 metre main boom, at which it can handle 7.4 tonnes at full height when fully extended and 1.1 tonnes at its maximum radius of 31 metres. The crane is also equipped with Liebherr’s VarioBase outrigger setup system. The second LTM 1040-2.1 is due to be delivered early next year.

Crowland’s new Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1

Managing director Peter Issitt said: “Since our first purchase back in 2016, we now operate a total of seven Liebherr machines, operating from our three locations in East Anglia. We are pleased with the developing relationship between Crowland and Liebherr Great Britain, this includes the good service and product support provided by the team at Biggleswade.”

Headquartered in Peterborough, Crowland Cranes also has a depot in Bury St Edmunds in the east of England. The company runs a fleet of All Terrain and crawler cranes, and is also a dealer for Grove, Ormig and Zoomlion cranes.
