Omme has transformed from a farm implement company into a well known access company. The employees made and built the first of the current buildings themselves. One imagines that construction of the new buildings will be contracted out.

Vertikal Comment

Harry Lorentsen, owner of Omme is not driven by a need to constantly expand the business for the pure sake of growth. However the company's reputation and sales have been growing solidly over the past four years or so.

Last year the company set up its own sales and service company in Germany that now employs six staff. As a result its revenues in the all important German trailer and spider lift market are growing rapidly, putting more pressure on production capacity.

As if this was not enough its most recent product launches have been very well received, also adding to demand. As a result the company had little choice but to add capacity if it was to maintain its bouyant run.
