Another Liebherr for Ellis

UK rental company Ellis Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 90 tonne Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 All Terrain crane.

The four axle LTM 1090-4.2 features a 60 metre main boom plus a 16 metre swingaway extension. Additional features include EcoMode and EcoDrive to maximise fuel efficiency, while reducing noise and emissions. The company’s third Liebherr crane, it was handed over on the Liebherr stand at Vertikal Days last week. The new crane becomes the largest model in the Ellis fleet.

Managing director Simon Ellis said: “This is the third Liebherr machine to join our fleet, we have been very impressed with the technological advancements, in particular the VarioBase outrigger system. This, coupled with its 60 metre boom, complete ballast, narrow carrier and the safe load indicator with four preset maximum wind speeds to the load charts, to allow the crane to operate in higher wind speeds than normal, give us a great all round machine, adaptable to a multitude of operations.”
