Mammoet acquires Meyer

Dutch international heavy lift group Mammoet has acquired German heavy lifting and industrial installation company Meyer Anlagenbau. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Mammoet’s position in the heavy installation market and its presence in south west Germany.

Based in Neustadt an der Weinstraße between Mannheim and Karlsruhe, Meyer was established more than 40 years ago, and principally covers the South West region of Germany, with heavy lift, installation and assembly services. It has been working with Mammoet on specific projects over the past five years. Mammoet says that it was approached with the opportunity to acquire Meyer and opened discussions leading to this agreement.

Jens Krawczynski, managing director of Mammoet Germany said: “In the past, Mammoet’s innovative thinking and global reach, combined with Meyer’s installation expertise and local presence, has delivered highly effective synergies for installation projects across the region. This acquisition extends our strong working relationship.”

Meyer’s managing director Eberhard Jung added: “Having worked together successfully for over five years, we know that Mammoet is the right company to expand our business. Our two companies share a similar regional approach and culture. Mammoet’s reputation for innovation and excellence is an indication that, under its leadership, Meyer will be able to enhance its value proposition.”
